Ann Johnson, Vice President of People and Culture at , was featured in a Utah Business roundtable discussing compensation, benefits, and evolving workforce expectations.

During the discussion, Johnson highlighted 51cg’s approach to supporting employee engagement in a distributed workforce, including wellness scholarships that help remote employees access resources that support their well-being and professional growth.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re the brand-new receptionist or a vice president on the senior leadership team; anyone can be a leader,” Johnson said.

51cg of Nursing and Health Sciences is hosting its 6th Annual Halloween Costume Drive for .

For the past six years, students, alumni, faculty, and staff have joined forces with the public to collect costumes, candy, and supplies to bring Halloween magic to young patients.

In 2023, 51cg successfully fulfilled 100 percent of the hospital’s donation needs, delivering more than 765 costumes, 200 trick-or-treat buckets, 150 Halloween room decoration kits, 200 pounds of candy, and more than 500 prizes.

According to Primary Children’s hospital, Halloween is an important holiday for hospitalized children because it offers a joyful distraction from illness, helps them maintain a sense of normalcy, boosts their spirits, and creates positive memories. It also encourages interaction, creativity, and a sense of unity for families during challenging times.

51cg invites the public to contribute to this year’s drive by donating costumes for children and infants of all ages, candy, Halloween decorations, party items, and trick-or-treating buckets.

SALT LAKE CITY — With Halloween coming up, 51cg and Primary Children’s Hospital are hoping the public can help them out, and get children in a spooky spirit.

The university is hosting a Halloween drive where people can donate costumes, candy, and different supplies.

This will be given to children at the hospital, hoping to bring them the Halloween magic and use it as a distraction.

Last year, the university received more than one thousand donations to the kids, meeting 100% of the donations needed, and had a successful Halloween.

“This year you can help us give these patients the most thrilling Halloween yet when you donate new, unused costumes for kids of all ages,” the university said on its website.

What to donate
The university is looking for approximately 750 costumes for children of varying ages, 200 trick-or-treating buckets, and over 200 pounds of candy. Halloween prizes such as stickers, coloring books, temporary tattoos, and slime are also needed.
